The Bathroom That Dries Itself

Every bathroom has the same morning ritual. You take a hot shower, you open the door, steam rolls into the hallway, mirror is gone, walls are dripping, floor is freezing, and the towel you washed three days ago smells damp again. You turn on the towel radiator at 6 AM, you come back at 7 AM and it is warm at the top and cold where the towel actually hangs.

We have been heating bathrooms completely wrong for 50 years.

The Problem Is Not Humidity. The Problem Is A Cold Surface.

Your bathroom is not too humid. It is too cold where it matters.

When you shower you create 24 degree steamy air. That air touches a tile that is 15 degrees. When warm air touches a cold surface, it drops its water. Like a cold beer bottle sweating on a hot day. That water film stays on your tiles, on your silicone, on your ceiling for hours. That water is not just ugly. It is alive. Mold spores need one thing to grow: a surface that is wet more than 6 hours a day. Your bathroom gives it 10 hours every day.

You can ventilate, you can bleach, you can buy anti-mold paint. It will come back. Because you never removed the reason: the cold wall.

An infrared mirror removes the reason.

One Mirror, Three Jobs You Actually Need

We take a 600 watt infrared panel and we make it a mirror. Same size as your old bathroom mirror, 60 by 90 cm, frameless, 2 cm thin, IP65 safe to splash. You install it exactly where your mirror was. Four screws, one wire.

Turn it on 15 minutes before your shower from your phone or from the small waterproof switch next to it and watch what happens.

The mirror glass itself heats to 45 degrees in three minutes. A hot glass can never fog. Fog is condensation, condensation can only happen when steam hits a surface colder than itself. Your mirror is now warmer than the steam. So while the whole bathroom is full of steam, your mirror stays 100 percent clear. You can shave, you can do your skincare, you can see your face while the shower is still running.

And the opposite wall and the ceiling corner that was always black stays warm at 22 degrees. Now when 24 degree steamy air touches a 22 degree wall, nothing happens. No water drops, no wet film. Humidity that would normally sit on tiles for two hours stays in the air and is gone in 20 minutes with one small window opening. After three weeks of this, the existing mold has no water to live on. It dries out and falls off by itself. We have seen hundreds of bathrooms where the silicone turned white again without any chemicals.

The Towel That Is Finally Dry

A towel radiator cannot dry a towel. It is physics. You put a wet towel over the only heat source, you block air circulation, and hot air naturally goes straight up to the ceiling, not sideways through thick wet cotton. So the towel stays damp inside and starts to smell.

Infrared dries with light. Hang your towel on a normal hook one meter in front of the mirror or on the side wall. The infrared rays hit the towel directly, penetrate the fibers, and evaporate water from inside. A big 500 gram bath towel goes from soaking wet to completely dry, warm and fluffy in about 40 minutes. It smells fresh because it is truly dry, not just warm and damp.

There is no burning hot metal. A towel radiator is 70 degrees and dangerous for small children. This mirror is warm to touch, safe, silent, with no moving parts, no water inside, no maintenance for 25 years.

What It Really Costs To Have A Warm Bathroom

A standard 6 square meter bathroom needs only 600 watts. You don’t heat it all day like your old system.

Our clients use a simple program. ON from 06:00 to 08:00 for morning showers, ON from 19:00 to 21:00 for evening showers, OFF the rest of the day on 15 degree anti-mold background. The smart WiFi thermostat with a sensor on the wall pulses the mirror 20 minutes per hour only. Effective time per day is about 90 minutes.

That is 0.9 kWh per day. At 0.25 euro per kWh that is 0.22 euro per day. Less than your hair dryer. Installation is done before your coffee gets cold.

For fifteen years your bathroom was the coldest, wettest room you tried to leave as fast as possible. With one warm mirror that never fogs, it becomes the warmest room in the house in winter. The room where kids sit on the warm tiles and play.

You never wanted hot air in a bathroom. You wanted a clear mirror, warm feet, and walls that stay dry forever.
